rock the vote...

time to exercise your civic duty, kids...and vote for my term garment design, inspired by the work of madeleine vionnet.  out of the 12 sketches i made, here are my 5 favorites:

3. i wanted to make this one but my instructor said it would be too difficult.  there's a deep cowl in the back, which you can see a bit here...

of course, i may not even listen to your votes...but do it anyway, okay?  okay.

    i say 3 is fosho the coolest (but what kind of shoes would you wear?), i think 5 would be the most fun to make

    haha i just googled madeleine vionnet and it says "An uncontrolled derriere is vulgar in a slinky dress" -- i guess about her intended wearer

    2 and 4.

    the sleeves in 1 don't seem to go so well, they seem excessive.

    the deep cowl one is very complicated.

    i'm going to have to go with #4. i love the way the folds drape and yet it doesnt look overdone or overworked. i'm excited to see the final product for whichever one you decide on!
